Term 3 Week 1

Monday: It was our first lesson for Literature this term. I was excited for the lessons to begin and couldn’t wait to see what’s in store for us. Our former teacher Mr. Chua came in as usual and began the class with telling us the lessons that are going to be taught this term.
We were then introduced to two new plays “Are you lonesome tonight” and “The mighty mandarin”. We were told to pay 25 cents to our Literature rep so that they could print out the texts that were going to be issued to us. He then continued the lessons by explaining to us the criteria needed for our end of year paper and common test papers.
We then moved on to the next part of the lessons which was acting. The plays that we would be performing were “Romeo and Juliet” and “The Merchant of Venice”. We were divided randomly into four groups, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. I was appointed to Bravo and so were some of my classmates. They were Ebony, Zaimah, Jalilah, Huzaifah, Wei Xiang, Reneita, Hui Jin, Ramadhan, Ding Hong and Hong Rong. Our lesson was ending soon so Mr. Chua gave us homework to do which was finding the meaning of different roles of the theatrical production. After the worksheet was distributed, the class was over just in time for our next lesson.

Thursday: We were told to hand in our homework’s into the box but some of my classmates just did not want to listen so we were reprimided by Mr. Chua again. After being shouted at, we assembled outside of class, we went to the Aces gallery and sat in our groups that was assigned last lesson. We had to choose a play and our group decided on “Romeo and Juliet”. We then assigned roles to each of the members and confirmed them. We were all ready to hand in our worksheets but most of the class did not complete their work form last lessons so we had to stay back after school to settle the homework.
Honestly I think Literature lessons are going to be more interesting as time goes on.
